Workshops

The Belonging Lab’s workshop series equips individuals and organizations with the tools to respond to the youth mental health crisis through education, community-building, and action. These workshops are rooted in lived experience, intersectional understanding, and the belief that suicide prevention must happen long before someone reaches a breaking point.

With a trauma-informed lens and a focus on early intervention, we train participants to become mental health allies, reduce stigma, and cultivate environments where people feel seen, supported, safe, and that they belong.

  • Build awareness of the systemic, social, and cultural drivers of mental distress.

  • Teach non-clinical intervention tools like reflective listening, crisis de-escalation, and empathetic boundaries.

  • Demystify suicide prevention, encouraging direct but compassionate conversations and proactive connection.

  • Foster a culture of community care, where belonging, presence, and peer support are prioritized.

  • Reduce preventable loss by turning ordinary people into everyday protectors.
