After-School Programs
Building Belonging Through Art, Kindness, and Connection
At The Belonging Lab, we believe that every child deserves a place where they feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.
Our after-school programs are custom-designed in collaboration with each school to meet its unique social and emotional goals—whether it’s improving peer relationships, addressing bullying, or creating more inclusive campus culture.
What We Offer
Our programs combine creative expression, social-emotional learning, and community building to help students develop essential life skills:
Art-Based Curriculum: Students explore painting, storytelling, and mixed-media projects that promote self-expression and empathy.
Friendship & Kindness Emphasis: Guided activities that teach emotional awareness, communication, and conflict resolution.
Anti-Bullying and Inclusion Lessons: Evidence-informed discussions and projects that empower students to stand up for one another.
Belonging: Weekly group reflections that help students feel connected, valued, and safe.
Tailored to Each School
No two schools are the same—and neither are our programs.
We work closely with administrators, counselors, and teachers to identify each community’s needs and design a curriculum that aligns with their culture and student population.
Why It Works
Research shows that belonging is the foundation for mental health, academic success, and positive behavior.
By combining art, kindness, and connection, our programs help students:
Strengthen social skills, resilience and empathy
Reduce bullying and isolation
Improve classroom behavior and self-confidence
Build long-term friendships rooted in respect and compassion
